What is Naruto?

Naruto is a manga by Masashi Kishimoto, serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 until 2014, when it ended at 700 chapters. The TV anime first aired in Japan on 3 October 2002, and the sequel Boruto, supervised by Kishimoto with art by Mikio Ikemoto, is published in V Jump.

Which companies stand behind Naruto?

The official Naruto website was launched in October 2022 through Shueisha and the Bandai Namco Group working together. The manga carries the notice ©Masashi Kishimoto/Shueisha, while the Naruto, Shippuden and Boruto anime each carry their own notice. TV Tokyo Holdings reported that royalties from overseas NARUTO/BORUTO games performed strongly in fiscal 2025.

What should buyers check?
