CZWX FIELD NOTES

Turn licensing knowledge and platform rules into practical project actions.

These guides are based on public materials from WIPO, platform policies and licensing-industry organizations. They support general understanding and project preparation, but do not constitute legal advice or replace current platform rules, formal agreements or qualified counsel.

This section is organized as a working library. Choose a specific question instead of reading one long page.

A

Rights evidence, product source and appeal documents should tell the same story.

Temu’s public IP policy covers copyright, trademarks, patents and other rights, and allows rights owners or authorized agents to file infringement reports. Sellers should retain license agreements, authorization letters, sourcing records, orders and listing evidence, with consistent brand, entity, category and validity details. Review the latest policy before submission.

B

The longer the authorization chain, the more important document continuity becomes.

TikTok Shop’s public guidance distinguishes trademark owners, first-level and second-level authorized sellers, and co-branding or license-rights applicants. It emphasizes clear valid documents, consistent brand names, scope and duration, signatures, matching legal entities and expiry dates. Second-level authorization generally requires evidence of the upstream rights-holder grant.

C

A license agreement should define the asset, use, territory, term and return.

WIPO explains that licensing generally preserves ownership while granting defined use by market or purpose. An agreement should identify the licensed assets, field or category, territory, term, granted rights, fees or royalties, plus audit, quality-control, dispute-resolution and damage-limitation terms. Exclusive licenses require careful limits and retained rights.

D

Use industry events to test resources and real market demand.

China Licensing Expo brings together licensors, licensees, channels, manufacturers and retailers, with zones covering art and museums, emerging IP and designer toys, games and sports, originals, cultural heritage and corporate brands. Licensing China connects licensing with Greater Bay Area manufacturing. CZWX uses events for scheduled meetings and demand validation; attending an event does not imply authorization.
