Who is Pusheen?
Pusheen is a chubby tabby cat. Her official site says she first appeared online in a 2010 series of short comics by creator and founder Claire Belton, written with co-founder Andrew Duff, and became famous through animated comics, GIFs and Facebook chat stickers. In 2013 Simon & Schuster published the comic collection “I Am Pusheen the Cat”.
Who licenses Pusheen products?
Pusheen Corp., an Illinois-based company founded in 2010, develops Pusheen content and products and says it works with more than 100 licensees worldwide. For a sourcing project, ask which licensee the product is made under and which countries and product categories that licence covers.
What should buyers check?
The official site says the brand’s line-up of characters keeps growing, so a design that includes Pusheen’s companions needs each of them in the approved artwork. GIFs and stickers shared online are not approved product artwork: ask the licensee for the design file and the approval for this item, not only a brand letter.
