Who are Wallace & Gromit?
Wallace & Gromit are Aardman’s inventor and his trusted canine companion. Nick Park introduced them in A Grand Day Out (1989), which was nominated for an Academy Award, and the pair have since appeared in five other films.
Who licenses Wallace & Gromit products?
Aardman handles the licensing and said it was expanding its licensing business ahead of its 50th anniversary in 2026. In April 2025 it released a new visual direction for Wallace & Gromit consumer products: two themed design packs for the global market and a separate packaging guide for East Asia. From 1 April 2026, CAA Brand Management handles Aardman’s brand licensing in Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
What should buyers check?
Ask which design pack or film the artwork comes from, and for East Asian packaging ask the licensee to work from Aardman’s packaging guide for that market. If the product also shows other Aardman characters, they must be covered too. Send the product type, artwork and destination markets with your enquiry.
