What is Friends?
Friends is a sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. Its HBO Max page gives 1994 as the year and lists ten seasons, and LEGO’s 2021 set announcement calls it an iconic Warner Bros. TV series.
Who licenses Friends products?
LEGO’s 2021 release for its 2,048-piece F.R.I.E.N.D.S Apartments set, which followed the 2019 LEGO Ideas Central Perk set, states that FRIENDS and all related characters and elements are © & ™ Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., and profiles Warner Bros. Consumer Products as the studio’s licensing and merchandising arm. Warner Bros. is now part of Skydance, after Paramount completed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery on 6 October 2026.
What should buyers check?
Say exactly what the design uses: the FRIENDS logo, settings such as Central Perk, or the characters. If it shows photos or likenesses of the cast, ask for written confirmation that the approval covers them. After the 2026 merger, also check which company now signs as licensor and that the licence is still valid.
